Underage Drinking Charges

If you’re under the age of 21, then consumption, possession and purchase of alcohol is prohibited in the State of Pennsylvania. If police catch a minor with alcohol, that person will face underage drinking charges.

We also know that in college communities such as State College, PA and Penn State University, students who are under the legal drinking age will consume alcohol. Our firm constantly advises underage clients to avoid alcohol consumption, but peer pressure and desire to partake in campus social activities often win out.

Alcohol-related charges are especially taboo for young men and women who will be entering the workforce and going through standard criminal background checks. No college student or parent wants an underage drinking charge (and all the questions that come with it) on a permanent record.

If you or a loved one are facing underage drinking charges in the State College or Penn State community, then we may be able to help. Contact us for a free consultation on your underage drinking case. There are likely some options to resolve the matter in a way that lets you move on with your life without underage drinking charges following you.
