Joe Amendola Education

Joe Amendola has an accomplished educational background that has prepared him for success at his craft. From his time as an undergraduate student at Penn State to his law studies at Georgetown, Joe honed the legal, critical reasoning and communications skills that have made him the successful criminal attorney he is today.

Joe attended Georgetown Law from 1970 to 1973. During his time at Georgetown, Mr. Amendola also served as a Law Clerk at The American Academy of Judicial Education in Washington, D.C. During this clerkship, he gained valuable experience researching U.S. constitutional law issues and planning national law conferences.

Joe graduated from Penn State in 1970 with a B.A. degree in Modern American Political History. He received the following academic honors during his time at Penn State:

  • Graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with high distinction
  • History Department Honors Program in Modern American Political History
  • Elected to membership in Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Alpha Theta Honor Societies
  • Awarded U.S. Army, John Henry Frizzell, and Abbey Sutherland Scholarships

In addition to the above academic honors, Joe played an active role in Penn State student associations and activities:

  • Vice President-Student Government Association (Ogontz Campus)
  • Chairman of student court and student government legal affairs committee
  • Advisor to undergraduate students in College of Liberal Arts
  • Membership on University Senate Committee on Undergraduate Student Affairs
  • Membership on University Presidential Commission charged with studying student unrest and making revisions in theUniversity judicial system
  • Elected to membership in the Penn State Skull and Bones Senior Honor Society (not affiliated with the Yale University secret society)
  • Received Outstanding Senior Award
